Expression of Interest: Traveling Arborist & Offsider Couple – Full-Time, Salaried Roles
Are you a qualified Arborist with a keen interest in living and working on the road? Do you have a partner who’s ready to join you as an Offsider/Labourer/General Hand? Summerstar Tourist Parks is seeking a dynamic couple to join us in maintaining the safety and beauty of trees across our 14 caravan and tourist parks, spanning from Broome to Ceduna.
This is an exciting opportunity for a couple who loves life on the road and wants to take on a full-time, ongoing role with a flexible, guest-oriented organisation.
About the Roles
- Arborist: You will be responsible for assessing, trimming, and maintaining trees at each of our parks to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
- Offsider/Labourer: You will assist the Arborist with tree maintenance, general labour, and other hands-on tasks as needed.
- Both roles are full-time and salaried, with a flexible work schedule.
Key Benefits
- Roster options: Choose between a 5 days on, 2 days off roster or a 10 days on, 4 days off roster.
- Travel time paid: Travel between parks is fully paid, and fuel costs are covered by Summerstar.
- Accommodation: A powered site at each park is provided at no charge.
- Plant & Equipment: We will supply the necessary plant and equipment unless you have your own, in which case we can negotiate fair remuneration for its use.
- Meal arrangements: You’ll be responsible for providing your own meals.
Work Scope
- Duration of your stay at each park will depend on its needs, with an estimated twice-yearly visit to each park.
- Work will take place across Western Australia and South Australia, covering parks from coastal locations to outback settings.
- As this is a new role for Summerstar, we are open to your suggestions on how to structure the roles for a win-win scenario. If you prefer working 8 or 9 months a year with extended downtime, we are open to discussing this arrangement.
