Exciting Opportunity: Assistant Cook – Eighty Mile Beach Caravan Park
Are you ready for an exciting lifestyle change in a stunning remote location? We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Assistant Cook to join our team at Eighty Mile Beach Caravan Park, located halfway between Broome and Port Hedland in Western Australia. This is a unique opportunity to live and work in a remote coastal paradise, where the sunsets are unforgettable, and the lifestyle is truly one-of-a-kind.
About the Role
As an Assistant Cook, you’ll play a key role in supporting our kitchen operations, preparing quality meals, and maintaining a clean and well-organized kitchen. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a team setting and enjoys interacting with park guests.
Full-time, 11-month Contract, with a possibility to renew for another 12 months
Roster: 82 hours per fortnight over a 6-day week (the Peak Tourist Season Months of June, July and August, will require you to work reasonable additional overtime)
Salary: $65,000 per annum + super, plus accommodation, plus food
Accommodation options:
A powered site (no charge) if you have your own caravan
A single-person room (nominal fee of $25 per week)
Additional Benefits
Due to the remote location, Summerstar provides a weekly or fortnightly Food Box, depending on delivery frequency, which includes:
Fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and basic food items (e.g., bread, milk, sugar, flour, eggs etc) The quantity will be sufficient to meet the dietary needs of one adult for the period.
Please Note:
Dogs are not permitted at Eighty Mile Beach, as it is a designated Marine Park.

- Can handle the challenges of living and working in a remote location
