The Catering Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food, while ensuring the highest quality service and experience for guests at our Ayers Rock Resort.
- Responsibilities will include:
- Provide efficient and effective service to guests, understanding their needs and requirements, working to exceed their expectations where possible
- Cook and prepare food for our barbeque dinner experiences in an efficient and timely manner
- Ensure dietary requirements are met
- Provide advice on food and beverages according to guest expectations
- Serve guests food and beverages across multiple outdoor locations
- Prepare and pack morning catering
- Clean on completion of service
- Other duties as required
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in hospitality and/or tourism with the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
A team orientated mentality and the ability to provide quality customer service while working toward meeting deadlines will distinguish the individual.
Attributes that will help you succeed in this role include:
- Relevant qualification in hospitality or tourism is preferred (Food Handlers Certificate, Responsible Service of alcohol (RSA) Certificate
- Previous experience cooking for large groups
- Be willing to undertake and achieve company funded, industry recognised Food Hygiene qualification (if not currently held)
- Driver’s license desirable
