Rare opportunity for an experienced Customer Service and Sales professional with a passion for
travel looking for their next opportunity with a leading travel company – AAT Kings!

The Role:

The Contact Centre Sales Agent with AAT Kings will be responsible for maximising and increasing
direct guest & trade partner sales for AAT Kings Guided Holidays, Short Breaks & Day Tours, and
Inspiring Journeys.

Be the key contact for direct guests & trade agents contacting AAT Kings through various mediums
(training provided). Effectively and efficiently handle all direct guest & trade partner enquiries &
maximise sales opportunities; delivering service excellence in every contact as well as proactively
generating leads, repeat business and referrals, to achieve the company’s growth targets.

This is a permanent, full-time role offering flexible work options from our vibrant Alexandria office 3
days per week and 2 days work from home. Shifts available between 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday
and Saturday from 9am to 5pm.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Effectively process travel bookings and convert sales leads and enquiries to bookings in a multi-channel Contact Centre environment (received via phone, email, web).
  • Maximise sales opportunities by upselling additional AAT Kings Guided Holiday, Inspiring Journeys, Short Breaks & Day Tours.
  • Develop specialist knowledge in our AAT Kings Guided Holiday, Inspiring Journeys, Short Breaks & Day Tours products.
  • Fully service our Guests by selling flights, rail, insurance, pre/post accommodation, and Gold Seal Protection.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets by effectively utilising the Consultative Sales Process.
  • Be confident contacting guests by phone as the first point of contact and using email to engage guests and build rapport.
  • Be experienced using CRM and GDS systems.
  • Maximise sales through outbound and follow up calls to potential guests from enquiries and brochure requests.
  • Effectively utilise Salesforce to deliver sound lead management and track all sales.
  • Project our brand values in every contact; be friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, confident, and professional.
  • Take ownership of the guest holiday experience and nurture the relationship, anticipating the guest’s needs from first point of contact to after departure, and deliver an exceptional Moment of Truth in every guest contact by consistently providing excellence in service.

The Candidate

If you are a friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable sales and customer service professional we want
to hear from you! The ideal candidate will have;

  • 2 years’ experience in a Retail Travel environment, Airline, or other travel related Reservations Sales team.
  • Experience working in a Contact Centre environment.
  • Inbound or Outbound telesales experience with strong knowledge of the sales cycle.
  • Proven experience meeting or exceeding KPI’s including sales conversion and working to commissionable targets.
  • Travel Industry knowledge particularly retail travel and knowledge of Australian and NZ destinations.
    Exceptional relationship building and negotiation skills.
  • Proven effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing leads with a sales CRM program, such as Salesforce.
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and guest focused.
