Are you ready to take on a hands-on role in the grain industry? We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented Labourer to join our team in Mt Tyson, QLD. This role involves both manual labour and technical tasks related to grain handling, ensuring efficient and smooth operations.

What You’ll Do:

As a Labourer, your responsibilities will include:

• Spearing and sampling incoming grain trucks
• Analysing and identifying grain defects and weed seeds
• Record keeping, filing, and liaising with growers and colleagues regarding quality issues
• Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness of lab and sampling areas
• Preparing and dispatching freight, grain samples, and analysing outgoing samples in accordance with GTA/AMA standards

If you have a forklift license your responsibilities would also include:

• Loading and unloading trucks
• Forklift operations
• Manual grain handling, packing, and sewing bags
• Maintaining site hygiene and equipment

Benefits:

• A competitive hourly rate of $33.16 with penalty rates
• Approximately 40 hours of work per week

Your Skills & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• A valid driver’s license
• Forklift license highly regarded
• Previous experience in the grain industry
• Experience with unloading trucks and forklift operation
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality control
