Portland Roads “Out of the Blue” Café is a small boutique café located on the east coast of Cape York approximately 800km north of Cairns. We are looking for someone to join our kitchen team for this upcoming tourist season. The successful applicant will be well presented, friendly, able to work under pressure, but most of all, be flexible.
Ideally, we are looking for a person who is travelling with their own caravan as accommodation is limited. All power, water & internet supplied. Having your own vehicle will also allow you to explore and make small trips around our beautiful area on your days off.
The job will range from front of house, kitchen hand, food prep and cleaning. As we are a small facility with limited staff, we require someone who is a team player and has a great sense of humor. Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed over a working week of 4.5 days, however this could increase depending on tourism visitation. Start beginning of June.
