If so, our Mill positions are right up your alley! The positions we currently have on offer are:
Weighbridge Operator – This role is responsible for the correct weighing of all cane entering the weighbridge and data entry. You’ll also be responsible for cleaning the area, working in confined spaces and maintaining records. You will work a continuous shift roster during the crushing season, including weekend work and some overtime may be required.
General Mill Worker (Labourer) – This role is responsible for maintaining the factory by cleaning, hosing down areas, removing chokes within plant, shovelling of materials, and assisting tradespersons when required. This is a day shift position including weekend work and some overtime may be required.
Bin Handling Assistant – This role is responsible for working closely with our Operations and Cane Supply & Transport team to safely bring in the full cane bins to the weighbridge for processing. You will work a continuous shift roster during the crushing season, including weekend work and some overtime may be required.
For all roles, first preference is for applicants who are willing to complete an entire crushing season which generally runs from June through to December.
Specific Requirements
These positions will suit someone who is self-motivated and doesn’t require close supervision. Previous experience is not essential as we will provide training for a person who displays the right aptitude and team fit. Training includes Confined Space, Safe Working at Heights and other courses pertinent to the responsibilities of the position.
Other skills or tickets, such as High Risk Work Licence, Tafe Modules, or HR Drivers’ Licence may be viewed favourably, so please ensure these form part of your application.
A requirement of the recruitment process is to complete a pre-employment medical which includes a urine drug screen and alcohol screen, physical and medical assessment.
