Camp Host – Job Description
Duration:April-July
Wooramel River Retreat (WRR) is looking for a couple to join our team to cater to and look after our guests wellbeing.
One hours drive south of Carnarvon in WA, the station stay accommodation and nature park consists of 120 van sites, 9 rooms, 4 eco cabin tents and a 5 tent school camp spread over 15 acres along the Wooramel River. Our season runs from March to December with the winter months being our peak season. The park being only 2kms off the North west coastal Highway and at the door step to 2 world heritage listed areas gets a high turn over of short term guests, that come to enjoy nature, our naturally heated artesian baths, bush walks, self driven 4WD tracks, camp fire under the stars and outack style café.
Position Title: Camp Host couple
Working Hours:
· 3 hours per day – 10am – 12pm / 5pm – 6pm
· 5 days a week
· Rosters are flexible, time off negotiated with reasonable warning. During the school holidays we may ask for extra help.
Remuneration
· $400 cash per week
· A site for a caravan/camper – includes access to power, drinking water, gas refills & free use of washing machine.
Length of Appointment: 4 months April to July
Dress Code: Wooramel branded t-shirt provided, must be worn while working in the park & reception (supplied). Staff to wear neat and tidy comfortable clean clothing and shoes with hair brushed and tidy.
Position Summary: The position requires a happy energetic couple who love a chat and sharing information. As camp host we would like you to keep an eye on the general feel and goings on around the park, share information about the station and the region and help initiate socializing amongst the guests. The position also includes cleaning of the ablution blocks and lighting the communal camp fire 5 nights a week.
Essential duties and responsibilities:

Cleaning Duties:
4 x ablution blocks need to be cleaned daily. (As per checklist).
Camp Kitchen. ( As per check list).
During peak period we may ask for extra assistance if you are willing. ( this may include, laundry, reception, directing guests to available sites and helping people select appropriate sites)
Reception duties:
Meeting and checking in customers receiving payment and entering required information into Booking program.
Doing the daily van count.
