Station Stay Manager Couple R & R (Split Role)

1.    Park Manager R & R

Wooramel River Retreat (WRR) is looking for a couple with strong leadership and a customer centric hands on approach, with demonstrated skills in hospitality management. You will be dedicated and driven and able to ensure the delivery of exceptional guest services, guiding the day to day work and development of happy hard working team.

One hours drive south of Carnarvon in WA, the station stay accommodation and nature park consists of 120 van sites, 9 rooms, 4 eco cabin tents and a 5 tent school camp spread over 15 acres along the Wooramel River. Our season runs from March to December with the winter months being our peak season. The park being only 2kms off the North west coastal Highway and at the door step to 2 world heritage listed areas gets a high turn over of short term guests, that come to enjoy nature, our naturally heated artesian baths, bush walks, self driven 4WD tracks, camp fire under the stars and outack style café.

Qualifications and experience

·        Demonstrated experience in hospitality/ tourism management

·        Strong computer skills

·        Proven and demonstrated experience in managing, developing and training staff.

·        Previous experience in reservation systems, social media apps, rostering programs and MS office suite desired.

·        Strong decision making and negotiation skills required

Your responsibilities will span across administrative front office, planning and development and include:

·        Manage all day to day operations of the park including:

·        · Front Office – reception, customer service, reservations, telephone calls, emails

·        · Back Office – data entry, reporting, administration, rostering of all teams, ordering supplies.

·        · Grounds – mowing, landscaping, minor tree works, a trade would be desirable but not essential (Dual Role including Managing Pastoral Activities see attached outline)

·        ·Amenity and Cabin cleaning – co-ordinate the housekeeping team to ensure accommodation and amenities are clean, well maintained and attractively presented.

·        Employing & training staff to ensure the park’s high standards are maintained.

·         Lead park employees to successfully carry out responsibilities and duties.

·        Deliver exceptional customer service and build the business and its brand.

·        Inspect accommodation, amenities and grounds to ensure standards are consistently met

·        Comply with all safety regulations and company policy and procedures.

·        Develop and implement works programs for staff.

·        Handle and resolve customer complaints in a courteous and professional manner

·         Assist Directors with marketing.

Job Requirements

·        40 hours per week plus occasional after hours calls, plus fill in as required.

·        As Park manager you are required to live on site- all inclusive accommodation and utilitiesare provided as part of the total renumeration package.

2.    Station Manager R & R

 

Lead station employees to successfully carry out responsibilities and duties

·         Strong decision making and negotiation skills required.

·         Weekly reporting to Director

Maintenance (0.5 FTE shared with Park Maintenance) – plant & equipment maintenance, arrange maintenance and repairs where necessary

·        Experience in upgrading and renovation of parks would be preferred.

·        Develop and implement works program

·        Waste management – minimize general waste and maximize recycling

·        Park security – help ensure park is safe for guests and staff

·        Stock water checked on a specific schedule

·        Repairs and maintenance to stock waters

·        Fencing/ Yard Building

·        Mustering, Processing and loading of livestock

·        Varied machinery operation Skidsteer, loader, primemover
