Are you retired but like to keep active and are keen for an outback adventure. Wooramel River Retreat is looking for happy energetic couple who love a chat and sharing information to join our team as camp hosts in 2024. As camp host we would like you to keep an eye on the general feel and goings on around the park, share information about the station and the region and help initiate socializing amongst the guests. The position also includes cleaning of the ablution blocks and lighting the communal campfire 5 nights a week.
About Us
Wooramel River Retreat (WRR) is one hours drive south of Carnarvon in WA, the station stay accommodation and nature park consists of 120 van sites, 9 rooms, 4 eco cabin tents and a multi-tent school camp spread over 15 acres along the Wooramel River. Our season runs from March to November with the winter months being our peak season. The Park is only 2kms off the Northwest coastal Highway and at the doorstep to 2 world heritage listed areas gets a high turnover of short-term guests.
Wooramel is all about creating an authentic outback Australian experience for our guests whether they be warm friendly interactions with our happy staff, relaxing in the warm waters in the artesian baths, meeting fellow travellers or close encounters with the natural environment both fauna and flora. Wooramel is not just a caravan park it’s more personal like inviting family and friends to your home we have opened ours and invite our guests to enjoy the amazing place we are lucky to live in. We are great company, our food is home cooked and prepared with a lot of love, we encourage nights around the fire and relaxing in the beauty of the northwest.
We are looking for a single/couple who can
· Clean 4 x ablution blocks and 2 camp kitchen daily.
· Drive through the park conducting a daily van count and reporting to Reception for cross-checking.
· Light fires pits in the afternoon and hosting happy hour around at the café.
· If you have a talent to help entertain that an advantage.
Turning sprinklers off after the toilet clean.
During school holiday periods, we may ask for extra assistance if you are willing. This may include, laundry, Reception, directing guests to available sites.
Flu vaccination
Current First Aid Certificate is highly desirable
Current Drivers Licence.
